Two New Forums Now

Not that I want to start a new 30 page thread but ...

There is now created two new forums ( Beyond Cakewalk & Cakewalk Community) . . .

I think it is great that this is happening while we still have this normal (cakewalk) forum around.  I have registered on both.  What happens if someone creates a third or a forth . . .   I'd like to be using one forum with (hopefully) all of you registered in it . . .

Maybe I'm missing the point here (of two separate forums)??

My hat is off to Panu and Bapu going forward and doing this but I am not looking forward to having many new cakewalk forums for discussions or tips and such.

I just wanted to point out that sometimes more is not necessarily better (my opinion).

What do others think?

I did consider that aspect of it . . .   I was hoping to stop the bleeding before it got to be to much for everyone.

My thought is that after things calm down a bit we as a community could decide what they wanted (as in one forum).

Right now I am trying not to panic, but I have a lot less invested although my original customer ID was 104 - I may almost been a customer for the 30 years . . .

My cakewalkcommunity.com forum is basically upgraded sonarmods.com forum which has been alive for 6 years. It's my 'Plan B', a safe place where SONAR users can find each other if the official forums disappear.

My forum is also a place where you can get 3rd party resources and utilities for SONAR. It's also home of Duckbar (customizing + feature enhancer utility for SONAR).

It's OK to have two forums. If one quits, we still have Plan B or C to jump in.

    Simple, really.

1 is for Bapu and his minions to carry on with. The other is for real people with real DAW type issues, like you and me.

How else could Bapu retain his post count?

So how do we know Bapu's isn't the "real" Plan B site? I see a conspiracy forming already....

On a serious note, when this thing is finally over it would be great to see Plat open up to full Duckbar capabilities.

Speaking about the Sonar Software Resources and Utilities thread is still active but I’m also taking it over to Sonarmods as I’m not too confident we’ll get notice of the forum’s closure. It should be up and running mid next week at Sonarmods but as I said it will continue in parallel until this forum closes for, good.

At least Sonar won’t be changing every month so Duckbar could really be a permanent enhancement.
