So I sez to the guy at the record shop at the mall...

I sez to him "Yanno... you don't seem to have a single Dead Kennedy's album in this store".

and it was true (which the lad admitted and himm hawed a lame explanation for but he seemed truly ashamed about it so dog bless the lad)...

Yes this actually happened today... and yes Beepster has apparently become that "weird old guy at the mall" lecturing young people about what "good music" used to be.

I did not however see if they had any Mojo Nixon (which based on previous evidence they most likely did not).

And instead of making a jokey hyperlink for "Mojo Nixon" I'm just gonna straight up link to the reference I'm making and you should totally listen to it because either a) you haven't heard it in in years and still love it or b) have never heard it (in which case #WTFiswrongwithyouitsaclassic) but will love it after you've experienced it.

Punk Rock Girl - Dead Milkmen

and no... the DM's ain't the DK's.

That's just a happy little coincidenece that makes it weirder/funnier (to me).

Really? Huh. Maybe it's more of a NA thing (and really... back in the day DM was kind of what the gurls listened to... of course they were the types of gurls who'd possibly jam a corkscrew in your eye for fun but still).

They were pretty good though.

Now you MUST have heard this one (and if not you have to listen ALL the way to the end because that's where teh ULTRA awesome happens)...

Quite a few swear words and I can't even post the title in here without triggering the forum filters so clicker beware (AKA: NSFW language)

It's essentially about Camaro's and how awesomely [REDACTED] they are... dood.

So Beeps says to the clerk "Yanno..." and the clerk mistakenly directs him to the Yanni section...

You don't seem like a "mall" kind of guy.

I've rebuilt 2 vintage tube hi-fi amps in the last month. Both for silver backs that want to return to vinyl. I have to tell you the sound is just amazing and it' a kick to see the old records come out. Some are proudly displayed while others are sort of hidden and excused as purchases for a past girlfriend.
I just love going to ye olde record shoppe.

Regards, John
I want to make it clear that I am an Eedjit. I have no direct, or indirect, knowledge of business, the music industry, forum threads or the meaning of life. I know about amps.
