Exporting issues in Sonar Professional lately
I've been trying all night to export a project via WAV and/or MP3. Regardless if all or no tracks are selected, it exports track 1 only, without effects. I have 3 tracks, 1 and 2 are panned opposite, and track 3 is acoustic guitar. (all audio) After reading and trying many combinations, I still have the same issue. I have also tried taking off "fast bounce", and have the same issue. As of late, when I export a project, I usually have to do it 2 or 3 times before it works, now today its not working at all thanks for any additional suggestions. I also just updated 2 days ago 11/22/17.

Hi. In the export dialog, choose main out as your source. All the best.

I do not see that option, also I tried to attach a screenshot, if someone knows how to do that. The source category is generally set to entire mix, and it this has happened a lot lately. It lists (entire mix, tracks, busses, etc) Lately, 3 tries is common, now after 20 tries, no dice. Thanks again.

I always have 'entire mix' selected, but I also always 'select all' (or Ctrl-A) and make sure all the background of the tracks waveforms change to white before hitting export. No problems so far (one year with Sonar Professional)

Thank you. Using Ctrl + A seemed to work. Now, will that export the master track and busses? Or only the audio tracks? This issue has only came up in the last few months, after having different versions over the last few years, I don't remember ever having export issues. Thanks again for the help.

I think it's more or less the concensus here that the "right" way is to have all tracks/busses routed to master bus, and have master as the export source. That is, IMO, the clearest way to keep everything under control.
SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre - Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc. The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Thanks for all the answers. Can you clarify how to have "Master as the export source" in Sonar Professional? As I mentioned above, I can't post a screenshot, but under source category on the export page, master is not an option. Thanks.

'Entire mix' is what you need, providing all your tracks and busses are routed to the master bus, and your master bus is routed to your hardware output.
