Which other DAW that enables you to drag audio to timeline / Melodyne / tempo analysis ?

I'm just starting to use this feature, dragging the audio clip onto the timeline for Melodyne to do a tempo match - that is perfect.

Which other DAW enables this feature ?

Studio One is only other one with ARA integration afaik.

Samplitude can do this.  It has a tempo track that works quite well and can detect minute shifts in tempo and set the "grid" based on a real audio track.

Which "version" of melodyne?  I thought only the $$$$ version can do this.

You will need Melodyne Studio 4 for dragging a Melodyne tempo map into the S1 timeline.

    Holy crap.  $849?!!

You have essentials with your Cakewalk account, so upgrading would be 299.00 at Sweetwater.

Cubase has tempo detection built in. You set it to examine a piece of audio, but you don't drag it to the timeline.

Incorrect information again. Melodyne Essentials will do the tempo map and you can drag it right onto the Studio One timeline. You just have to know how that is all.

Essentials is excellent actually and allows your basic pitch correction duties over monophonic lines. Where Melodyne Studio comes into its own is more advanced features in terms of what you can do with a note and also polyphonic detection etc..  The integration of Essentials into Studio One is also excellent. Audio events can just be clicked to bring Melodyne in, it analyses, corrects etc. You can keep it and render if happy or remove all or part of it too.

It just so happens I went thru this yesterday with SPLAT where I had some audio and I wanted to use Melodyne to extract a tempo map.  I had not installed Melodyne previously.  So I went into Command Center and installed Melodyne which is version 2.  Then it prompted me that version 4 was available and it cost me nothing, so I did that.  So then I thought, well how do I sync the tempo map?  A youtube video titled "How To Create Easy Tempo Maps in SONAR with Melodyne 4" shows how and it was quite easy.  At that point the click synced perfectly with the audio so I can do what I want with it now.
