Class Action Anyone?
I won't rant but I will say that I am an attorney who truly believed and expected when I purchased SONAR Platinum for life that Gibson would indeed continue to develop and support the product, if not for life then for for a reasonably long period of time like 10 to 15 years. That was the implicit, if not explicit, message in their marketing that induced me to pay for it.
I think we have the basis for a class action against Gibson to seek redress for Gibson's breach of its representation that we would continue to receive updates and new features on a regular basis. I am not the attorney to handle such a case but my former law partner and/or other experienced class action attoneys may be willing to do so and it can probably be filed anywhere someone bought SONAR. If anyone would like to pursue this idea, please contact me: Saunders at B S D S dot com. Write down this information now as this post will likely be deleted rather quickly.
