What’s this now? A meeting of ex Amiga users. I too ran bars & pipes. Didn’t know that MS bought them. Now there was a computer.

Getting back to Sonar though.... the damage done to Sonar just in these last few weeks is irreparable I think. How many folks have said that no one knew that Sonar existed. When you mention it to folks they’ve either not heard of it or they think it’s just some basic toy program. To come back after this fiasco would be a miracle.

While I could still trust the Bakers I don’t think there’s anyone out there who would be a suitable master for the Cakewalk team.

Look at all the stuff we’re slowly but surely finding out about the shackles that bound them from implementing so many potentially great scenarios. Take Notation for one. To know there was actually a viable solution but Gibson didn’t want to. I could just bite my own arm off and slap myself stupid, it makes me crazy.

In my head and on my desktop I’ve made my plan and I’m going to follow it.

Again a giant buys magic and ****s it to death.
And in their stubbornness they will, no doubt, refuse to sell it.
I told y'all "lifetime" updates was a stoooopid idea.
But Gibson got our money.
****s everywhere.

None of Gibson or Cakewalk has mentioned that there are any discussions about the purchase of the brand. If there were already discussions and interested parties, one would have mentioned this to calm us.

Especially if there were big investors like Microsoft or Google, this would probably have become known somehow.

Maybe Gibson does not want to sell, maybe there are other plans with the brand.

I'll finish my current projects with Sonar and start parallel with Cubase. Steinberg offers Crossgrade for Sonar Platinum and who knows how long.
