Harrison Consoles MixBus
Hey,
I'd just like to say that even though Studio One has been my main DAW since early summer, there are some things I really love about Harrison Consoles MixBus. To the point, I open very few plugins, as I use the tools right on the mixer and that is a lovely thing in regard to mixing. It's hard to appreciate if you've never tried it. I focus on listening and mixing and do very little of opening plugins or even thinking about which one to use. There are some things I don't like, but
mixing is a joy on this DAW...then you've got the sound, which many people comment on. This DAW is designed to sound different. And, there's something very cool about using the tools right on the board. This is something I didn't like about Sonar...I was constantly opening and closing something. If I'm only mixing, in Mixbus, I just import tracks and go. It's really liberating to use practically no plugins and its very fast to get the sound where you want it.
I have implemented Softube Console 1 along with Studio One, and that's probably as close as I can get to combining the functionality of Studio One, the ease of access to most tools as I have on Mixbus.
