Rapture works as stand alone but not in Sonar

     I can use Rapture as a stand alone with an external keyboard and works normal. So my midi set up is good. However, in Sonar Home Studio, Rapture, and Sound Tank also, doesn't respond to the keyboard inputs. No sound and the Rapture keyboard doesn't light up. I can record a midi track, with no sound from Rapture, and Rapture will play on the recorded track. I have tried removing the external sound card and using the laptop internal sound card (asio drivers on both), no fix. I have been using Sonar for a few months but this problem just started. I have looked at the Sonar preferences repeatedly but can't find the cause. Thoughts anyone?

    check where your vst folder points to.
     
    if they ain't showing up in that.. within sonar ..
     
    if you haven't got a decent soundcard setup (like "asio" based one) ..then expect issues or silence.

    Is Input Echo on for the Rapture track while recording?

    Midi echo it was. I figured it was a setting causing the problem. How did it get changed after working for a couple of months? Who knows? Life would be boring without a bit of mystery now and then. Thanks for the help
