Help. (Sonar File Size)

Greetings,
1st off, WOW!!! I bought the lifetime not long ago and just now trying to fix a computer with issues, log in for help and bam! Cakewalk is gone. They had to have known this, right??
Anyway, I am in need of help. I will spare the computer issues and just say that I need to grab files and move to a new hard drive. In doing so, as I search and grab bundles, I am seeing sizes that I "think" are rather small for a bundle. Several songs/files/bundles with 24 tracks of audio, effects and automation are roughly 150,00 kb. I have one that is 40 tracks, 20 of those tracks are solid audio beginning to end. The remainder are parts, harmonies, overdub etc. etc. that add to the choruses and so on. It is a rather large song and it is 242,877 kb.     .24 gigs?????  I fear something is missing.
When I open Sonar in safe mode I do see all of the .wav files in each track, automation, effects, everything. Also, the file is indeed a bundle file. But that size, I feel like it is small. I guess in all the years I have never paid attention.

So, knowing it is impossible to state the size of any single audio track, I must ask.....are these sizes abnormal?
Thank you for any help.
Best of luck to all of us.
(any suggestions on the easiest move to a new DAW? I am guessing either ProTools or StudiOne)

you can do a rough calculation of file size from bit depth (in bytes) * Sampling rate * seconds.

All audio clips in SONAR are stored as stereo wave files. The size of a stereo WAV is the product of ((Sample Rate x Bit Depth) X 2 Channels for Stereo) x Runtime. For easy figuring there is a table in the help.

So I guess you do not really see these numbers as small in regards to a file of track depth?

It's best to actually transfer your projects as folders, I've been doing this for years.
If you've alays used the per project folder system your CWP and audio will each be in a folder. YOu can just drag and drop those to a new drive or:
Open your projects in turn and then "SAVE AS" to your portable hard drive, make sure to check the "copy audio with project" box. you don't need to use bundles,, stay with CWP NORMAL saves. and all will be fine. CWB files are best avoided  IMHO.

I will do that in the future. Thanks for the heads up.
For now I have a busted computer and I a trying to save files. All I can access are bundles I had stored away. I cannot find anything else. I even have folders where the audio was written and it is empty. Strange stuff. For now, ALL I am worried about is if those numbers are very small and probably do not contain audio or if they are in fact pretty typical (within reason).
