Sonar X2 says it is "adding device" but it's not in menu -

I am trying a rca to usb cable device and my computer adds it no problem but sonar sees it but will not add it to the device menu.  If I manage to add it, it says it can't find the asio4all; if I get it to use asio4all it doesn't see the device.  It's a usb plugin so I take the device out of the usb slot and put it back in - sonar then says it sees the device and "do you want sonar to add it" - I say yes, but it does not add it to the audio device menu, the only option for audio is still asio4all inputs - why does sonar say it sees it and is adding it, but won't add it to the device menu and how do I get it to - I want this device (I think it's called usb pnp) to be the audio input choice, and asio4all to be the output choice - any ideas how to get sonar to add it to the audio device menu?  Thanks for any thoughts.

Hi! I believe you are running Sonar X2 in Asio driver mode? and the only Asio driver you have is asio4all?
It's a generic driver, if your rca to usb card doesn't have an Asio driver then it is the asio4all driver that you should use. You need to open the asio4all control panel and configure it to use your rca to usb or change Sonars driver mode to WDM or MME but for low latency you should stick with Asio.

Thanks Thomas (and great picture!) - whee is the asio4all control panel, I don't know how to get to it - it appears by installing asio4all v14 it may be working, but I don't know how to get to the asio4all control panel, could you let me know how?  Thanks.

It should be accessible directly in the Windows Program menu or if you start your Sonar X2 go to "Preferences" in the "Edit" menu, there you select "Driver Settings", there you click on the "Asio Panel" button.

Hope this helps, glad you liked my picture
