Purchase of Cakewalk

Any word on another company buying Cakewalk yet? I can live with a name change, just please don't shut down for good!

No word yet.  I don't think anything will be stated anytime soon.

you might take a look at Presonus Studio One. You really need a back up ...Sonar might not come back as the Sonar we all knew and loved.
I had used Sonar for over 15 years and had no intention of ever switching...
But....I downloaded the free trial and used it on a simple project yesterday, and I am pleasantly surprised. I actually purchased Cubase, but I don't really like the cluttered screen, and just the way it operates as much as S1.
I like simplicity, and it seems to operate a lot like Sonar in basic operations. You might download it and take a look...and it's on sale for $150
