Cannot Get Midi to play through my speakers
after I updated Sonar Platinum Midi files will only play on My Midi keyboard need these to play on My M audio Speakers
which it did before

Presumably you are placing them in a track that is either routing them to a Software Synth or a hardware synth?

Actually all my settings were changed when Sonar platinum was upgraded a few days ago.
So now I see I need to send the midi data to Cakewalk TS1
and I presume to record I will have to do the same and use a synth and pick the instruments I want

Do you get sound from other audio programs?
Could you provide some spec's on your system, i.e. sound card, driver model etc.

I had to use a synth TS1 or make the output Microsoft GM
Before I was able to do it differently. By the way how do you feel about the end of Cakewalk by Gibson
I did pay about a year ago for lifetime upgrades.

Hmm,
normally you can simply disable all midi synths (all midi outs unchecked), then Cakewalk uses a TTS autonatically....

I guess the older we become the more "little" things like this (beside much more important and not comparable events like loosing best friend) shows us that nothing stays forever and we are not immortal.
