Just downloaded and istalled Music Creator 6 Touch

I had the serial, so I had to test it.
I think this software is great for my Surface. there I don’t need the whole Sonar, and I can just make sketches of songs to come. At least that was the plan, when buying it.

What happened to MC 7? I se only Sonar Home Studio on that page now.

Home Studio replaced Music Creator 7.  There was a multi-month transition period where both programs were offered but then MC7 was removed.

I have the license to MC7. But can't find a installer because I got Sonar Platinum. I think it blocks it in Command Center.

No.  You can have MC7 and Sonar Platinum on the same computer, Command Center doesn't care.  If you wanted to use Music Creator 7 you should have contacted Cakewalk support so they could add it to Command Center.  Now it is too late because the company, Cakewalk, is closed for business.

Like Jim said, CC doesn't care what else you have.  I have MC7, HS and Sonar Platinum all on the same PC.

If you own the latest Sonar HS, then MC7 is redundant since HS replaced it.

You can still snag Sonar Home Studio, along with Rapture Session, for around $5.50 (approx, conv. from 4 Pounds Sterling). They're included free with the purchase of the December edition of Computer Music Mag (Digital edition):

    JonD,

Thank you for sharing the information about the December edition of Computer magazine.  I followed your link and must say it is the beginning of an interesting experience.

I should say up front, I HATE ZINIO with a passion.  Zinio provides what has to be the worst interface ever designed for reading the digital edition of a magazine.  One good point, Zinio does allow you to download a viewer to download a magazine digital edition and view it offline.

With that said (I ranted more but deleted) I purchased the digital edition to begin the journey.  Page 5 of the magazine provides excellent step-by-step instructions of the complete process.  You must join Computer Music's file storage site, FileSilo.  The compressed file you download includes the Cakewalk Command Center executable and a MP4 video of how to use it.  Then you need to "flip" to page 65 of the magazine and follow the step-by-step instructions for the new content to be added to your Command Center account.  Only then will Command Center add the additional content.

It feels a little like jumping through hoops but links to Home Studio and a bunch of other additional content will be added to your account.

Hi Jim, I didn't join FileSilo, as I already had Command Center installed.  I guess FS is required if you are new to Cakewalk.

After purchasing, I just used the email link that was sent to me from Zino. That took me to their site, I clicked on the Magazine, then using the table of contents navigated to the Sonar HS page.  Those instructions then sent me to Cakewalk's site, and I did everything else from there (Redeemed the code, downloaded the products, etc).

In short, if you already have a CW account, you can get Command Center from there.

Now, I haven't looked at the rest of the magazine yet.  It may be that I will have to join FileSilo to access other content.

I have Command Center for one product, the CA-2A Leveling Amplifier, so I'm not real familiar with it.  Nothing lost by following the instructions step-by-step!

I am sooo happy for me, but so sad too.
