E drum midi notes too narrow on piano roll editor
I have an Alesis Nitro kit. And the incoming midi notes are too small for editing in the piano roll editor. Where can I change the default size of the incoming notes? I noticed other midi drum patterns have wider / more editable notes.
Thanks, Gh 426

Sonar records what it gets. If you can't change note length on your kit, select all notes after recording and then stretch all notes at the same time to a size of your choice.

You did try using the zooms? look for the little magnifiers in the lower right corner. And a quick fix if they are all short durations is select all and use the smart tool to drag them to the right.

Ok im liking both of these concepts! For me it's not about the software, its the USER base that makes or breaks it, Not gribson or windoze... That can't be bought sold or expire.

I alt scroll wheeled it down, selected all, wheeled way out and used the wrench and dragged the later half of one note seeing that it said 990 notes selected dragged 6-8 X's bigger. It took a few times but I finally got it. I think I'm going to need to make a custom drum map anyhow... So thats on my todo list.
Thx, Gh426

Third option in PRV. Select all notes. Grab the right end of one note. Drag it to the right. All notes will expand same number of "pixels". Beware that if you inserted some longer notes they will get longer by the same number of pixels as the smaller ones but will not be the same size as the resultant smaller ones. HTH. Ps. I did write a CAL script years ago that set all notes to the same length (that you provide). PM me if you want that CAL script (assuming you know how to install and run CAL scripts).

You don't really need a CAL: In the PRV, select all the notes Use the Event inspector to change them all to the same length with one click.
