How much would you have been ready pay monthy to get all Cakewalk products?

Just for comparison: Adobe Cloud costs $49.99 / month.
How much would you have been ready to pay for "Cakewalk Cloud", i.e. access to every Cakewalk software?

I would have paid $30/month, $360/year.
That's more than average, I guess, but SONAR is my primary tool to make my living.

I don't make a living out of SONAR, but would continue to pay the monthly payment they had for Platinum, if that made a difference.
It was 19.95$ IIRC for new customers.
Those times are unfortunately gone
All the best.

Human beings being what we are, how long do you think it would have been before we all started whining about the cost and threaten, "that's it, I'm leaving for XXXX".
There were a lot of SONAR users on older versions that Cakewalk couldn't convince to upgrade.
But yes, I agree with Ken - i would have gone on paying the monthly lifetime rate of $19.95 to keep on keeping on.
Like Joni Mitchell said - You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone.

That ship has sailed given that ignoring LTU we all now know that keeping Sonar up to date each year was costing more than owning the competition even more than the EXPENSIVE Cubase!

With hindsight subscription was another factor in Sonar's demise, no product release made them even more invisible especially to the press, new product reviews are a definite marketing opportunity.

I really don't like the subscription model/plans and would rather purchase it outright. With things/people being so flaky/unpredictable in this world, I'd prefer to own it (keep it on my PC) than trust someone else. Thus, the reason I chose the "Lifetime Upgrade".

That being said, if I didn't have a choice but using Cloud, I'd mostly likely sign up for around $20 per month (only as a last/desperate resort).

I purchased lifetime updates on release for $99 I think, even though I no longer used SONAR.

So . . . they would have to pay me.

Nothing.

I don't do monthly payments for anything and certainly wouldn't start doing so for some software when I already own a version of it  that already does far more than I use it for . I would also never buy into anything that stopped working if I stopped paying.

I recently signed up for Adobe CC at $10 per month, so I guess I would have gone to $20-25 for SONAR.

I don't really understand the point of the OP question.

If it's somehow suggesting that Cakewalk would still be in business if a subscription payment model had been implemented I'd be tempted to suggest they'd have gone out of business even earlier than they have.

Mind you, it couldn't really have been any more catastrophic than the 'free' lifetime updates model.
