Great new mixing tutorial on Groove3 with Bob Horn and Erik Reichers

This seems to be episode 1 of a new series. They take a viewer's mix, critique it, and redo it themselves explaining how they're doing everything differently and A/B'ing between their mix and the viewers throughout. It's a really great format and they are excellent at getting their ideas across. Seems to be dominated by Bob Horn with Reichers making observations on the side. I can listen to Bob Horn talk about mixing all day - you might not agree with his mixing style (big effect chains, like Dave Pensado) but he really does explain things brilliantly. Excellent course to watch if you subscribe to Groove3.

    Useful, thanks for sharing.

Just had a quick listen to part 1 and the difference between the Goldberg and Echo Bar mixes is pretty clear.
Will be interesting to see how they achieved that.

One thing..they keep referring to the "two bus". What is that?

    Thanks

I would guess it's just another way of saying the master bus. Because it always has two channels.

Yeah they really improve Goldberg's mix a lot. And it was pretty decent in the first place. Just goes to show what kind of magic sauce a pro is capable of.

Yes, the 2buss, stereo buss and master buss are the same thing.

SONAR calls it the Master, which is good enough for me...
