Sonar Home Studio: Can`t change the PRV resolution
Hi guys, just watched a step by step guide on youtube of how to change the resolution inside the PR, since i couldn`t figure this out by myself. But i stil can`t change the resolution. Absolutely nothing happens/changes when i follow the instructions given in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W80Ngd-id_Q Any suggestions?

Which version of Home studio do you own. If it is the latest version then all that has changed. How it works now is the same in both HS and all versions. They just did a major overhaul of PVR and if you have the HS that was just updated this fall then you will be using the new system. First if you colour your tracks it will make overlapping midi tracks easier to manage. I have colours for each instrument = Blue is Bass , Red is Drums etc. Now when you open PVR if you open your bass track the notes will be blue. Also what has changed and is one of my most used and beloved new features is the right hand side bar where you can chose the tracks. This is faster than the old method. And if you hold down CTRL and select a new track the first track will still remain visible but ghosted. The side bar has just made this real fast to do. If you are using an older version of HS it is possible that feature shown was only availlable in the uper versions. HS is a stripped down version and many slick features are what is missing.

You really need to take some time and simply go around the screen and open all the menus. The grid resolution is right there in a menu upper left corner. My Dad would say " if it was a bear it would bite you!" I don't mind explaining complicated stuff, but users are sort of expected to understand what menus are and get used to them.

Yeah man, i already found this ,since it is in the exact same place as showed in the Video, so that has not changed at all; but like i said, nothing happens, the grid resolution does NOT change, when i chose a different resolution on this menu.

Have you made sure to engage independent Snap resolution ( D) in the Piano Roll view ?

AHH, The Rat, I love that pedal, I keep meaning to buy one. I was doing sound for a band and one of the guitar players didn't come back from the break. I was up on the stage troubleshooting something and they said just start without him the crowd is waiting, I grabbed his guitar and was jamming along and the leader looks at me to play a solo. I panicked for a second and then looked down and saw the RAT!! I stomped on it and his guitar became a tone monster and I played a pretty inspired solo. Long live the RAT!

Chuckiebaby, A belated thanks for this. I had an old project that wasn't showing the grid resolution.

I have only one, and that is if you are running Windows 7 or any later 64-bit version of Windows, upgrade to Cakewalk by BandLab for free.
