Getting a Vocoder effect in SONAR

Hi All,

I need to add some Vocoder vocals to a song I'm recording - can anyone help?

Long ago I found a free VST plugin that I used in Sound Forge. It simply blended together the left and right channels of a stereo file that I'd prepared in Pro Audio (vocals on one channel, piano on the other and synched to match timings) - it gave a really good effect that I saved as a wav and imported back to the mix. Sadly that was about 3 DAWs ago and I've no idea what it was called...

I've tried various freeware plugins and they are all too complicated for my simple needs - they're all capable of producing the effect in real-time but that requires assigning MIDI to one channel and an audio feed to the other (honestly speaking I don't understand how to configure this) all I want is a quick one-shot job done in Sound Forge - it's only a tiny bit of the song (not unlike when Mr Lynne warbles 'Mr Blue Sky-yiy'.

Can anyone help?

Thanks ever so...

F

Now, THAT wasn't supposed to happen...

Pentagon 1 has a vocoder capability.  It came with Sonar.  Note you must run Sonar as admin to use it.  I think its the only vst with this requirement.

Vocoders do quite complicated things...

Waves Morphoder is pretty good, as straightforward as vocoders get and is currently on sale for $29.

ATI 7750 graphics+ 1GB RAM, 2xIntel 520 series 220GB SSDs, 1 TB Samsung F3 + 1 TB WD HDDs, Seasonic fanless 460W psu, RME Fireface UFX, Focusrite Octopre.
Assorted real synths, guitars, mandolins, diatonic accordions, percussion, fx and other stuff.
