Your subject says when you choose ASIO all outputs except the ASIO ones "disappear".
In the post you say selecting ASIO results in no audio inputs or outputs being present at all.
Those aren't describing quite the same thing. It would be helpful to know which is correct.
Have you installed the M-Audio ASIO driver for the interface or areyou using something like ASIO4ALL? If you are using ASIO4ALL then I suggest uninstalling it and installing the manufacturer's ASIO driver which is specifically written for the interface.
Something that might be happening is that while MME drivers allow you to run more than one interface at a time ASIO drivers do not. At least, not unless the interface manufacturer has specifically written the driver in a way that lets you use more than one of the manufacturer's interfaces at the same time. Most manufacturers don't write drivers that allow this, and the ones that do (such as RME) only allow more than one interface if they are made by the same manufacturer.
And you can't run an MME interface and an ASIO one at the same time in a DAW for lots of technical reasons.
So selecting ASIO as the driver model will not let you access MME drivers, and will almost certainly only let you use one M-Audio interface at a time.
