I've been using my little asus Netbook for? 10 years? as my playback device for gigs. It's been a real workhorse but only will run XP.
Now this little stick looks like it's 4 cores at about the same clock.
It even has a audio jack. But I would be using the USB port and my little interface.
Looks like all you need is any HDMI monitor.

Now that is a rather interesting piece of gear. The VivoRemote app details are here. The only concern I have is that CPU (x5-Z8300) shows up on the mid/low range CPUs @1201 benchmark, but the CPU alone also has a retail cost of $133 by itself. It will be interesting to see where these go in the future, since the convenience of them is definitely nice for "on the go" folks concerned with weight.

ASUS ROG Maximus X Hero (Wi-Fi AC), i7-8700k, 16GB RAM, GTX-1070Ti, Win 10 Pro, Saffire PRO 24 DSP, A-300 PRO, plus numerous gadgets and gizmos that make or manipulate sound in some way.

I guess You can buy a Tablet for around that price, but the appeal is this runs Windows so certain apps including Sonar or Win Amp could be run. I was pondering if it could handle Home Studio and run a show using the playlist. But the deal breaker is you still need a monitor, So there's another $150 plus having to connect it. So a cheap laptop is still a better deal.
