Need Help With TG12345 and J37

Ok so I bought the TG12345 and the J37 from Waves and am in a little over my head. Where do I place these in SPLAT?

What I'd like to do is use the TG12345 as my channel strip and then use the J37 as the last thing like the Tape Emulator.

Do I place the TG12345 as the 1st fx and then use post?

Is there anyway to get the J37 down at the bottom like the Cakewalk Tape Simulator?

I really need step by step instructions.  I looked through old posts but didn't find any that dealt with setting it up.

Thanks

Hi. An old saying is: If it sounds good, it is good
I would normally as you said above use the TG 1st, and the J37 at the end.
Other times you want the tape drive into the channel strip.
Do what sounds best to you.
All the best.

Thanks for the reply but how exactly do I get the j37 at the bottom below the ProChannel? Not just in the fx bin?

Use FX chains. That way you can build a custom layout of your favorites, containing lots of plugins.

my self personally i put tape emu 1st, on the strength that the signal going into the desk would be coming off tape, and the tg channel strip is a peach, get your audio nice and clean, then use the dynamics/tone control

I learned about FX Chains when trying to put the ProChannel Tape Emulator last in the signal chain, just as you want to do with the J37.  If you're only using the TG12345 and the J37, but no ProChannel modules on a channel or a bus, then the FX Bin is all you need.  But if you want to use ProChannel modules in combination with any non-PC plugins and order them to your liking, then the FX Chain module is the answer.  An FX Chain module is like a floating FX Bin in the ProChannel.  And since there can be multiple instances of the FX Chain module, it is a very powerful and flexible feature.

Thank you everyone. I am testing now between just putting them in the fx bin and using each as an fx chain and moving them position wise in the pro channel. Lots of options.
