hello again , you know after having so many vst's I think the roland tts1 standard midi file is still one the best, did anyone still used ? my question is is any way possible to load  new sound banks in general  in to this software ?
I know that has the 127 standard midi sounds but it wold be nice have more sound in it , I like the tuner build in and the mixer simple but good ....happy new year

Good news Tony!   Copied this description from Sonar documentation:

Cakewalk TTS-1 is a GM2 (General MIDI 2) compatible, multi-timbral, multi-output, software synthesizer featuring a newly developed software synthesis engine, with 256 sounds and 9 drum sets built in.
For more information, see the Cakewalk TTS-1 online Help.

As you can see, the TTS-1 has 256 sounds in GM2 mode.  Each of the 9 drum sets have different sounds too.  Check out the TTS-1 Help manual.  It lists all the available sounds.

Not aware of any way to load new sound banks into TTS-1.  I think it is closed, and intended to provide GM compatible sounds only.

For a multitimbral synth with more sound options, take a look at Sampletank 3 CS, or Kontakt Player.  Both are free VST plugins and come with sample sound banks to try out (but not GM).  They both offer upgrade paths to full versions if you like.

TTS-1 is not a VST that you can just use in another DAW as is.  It is a DXi format instrument, and the referenced DXi wrapper technology lets it emulate a VST so you can use it in another DAW instead of Sonar as a VST plugin.

Most commercial soft synths do not have GM soundbanks, so TTS-1 is still useful for that.

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...
