Driver question

I have my mic attached to the MOTU Traveler, I can see the input and output levels on the front panel, I can see the levels in the Cuemix software, I can hear sound from the mic in my headphones but there's no level in Sonar. I've tried every single MOTU driver in turn and I get nothing.

I've overlooked something minor but I can't think what it might be. Anyone?

Thanks - rev

Hi. Which version of SONAR do you use?
Have you made sure that input echo is enabled?
I am guessing that you are using ASIO drivers?
If not, do so.
All the best.

Your headphones are plugged into the Traveler?

The good news is that you've at least verified that your interface is healthy. If SONAR's not seeing any data from it, it's possible that the configured audio device has changed. Make sure your MOTU is still the selected device.

Are you set to ASIO?

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Curious thing happened to me yesterday...I brought up SONAR and that damned Magix driver was loaded again! I have no idea why it insinuated itself before the Focusrite driver (alphabetical order?) after weeks of behaving civilly, but this time I got rid of it entirely by taking it out of the ASIO registry key (HKLM/ASIO).

I have the same problem with the Magix driver knocking out my VS-100 driver.  How do you take it out of the ASIO registry?

Use the registry editor (regedit), navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ASIO, highlight the Magix driver's registry key and press Del.
