Voice fix

Hey guys,
I am not an audio engineer and I need help for one voice audio that needs to added as a voice over in a video, here is a link with the files (_audio is the voice as it is and _audio3 is the one that I tried to fix in audacity). It's pretty bad, it is recorded from a skype call, I have tried in audacity but still sounds bad so if anyone can please help me and fix this I would be really thankful. If this is not a place for this kind of things, sorry.

Unfortunately you haven't got enough posts or been here long enough to insert a link in your post. It's to deter spammers.

Maybe put the files up on Soundcloud and tell us your name there, then we can search for it.

Yes, the download link is there now, thank you. I personally will not be able to do anything until later this evening with it (about 12 hours from now), but anyone can get it to try things now. I intend to try iZotope's RX 6 and Adobe Audition when I get home tonight for you.

I'd be interested in hearing how it sounds now and what you did to it.

The file I PM'd back is linked here. That file does not have final EQ or compression done to it because I began tripping myself up trying to use iZotope's DeReverb and wasn't getting anything good.

Processing done to that file were:
    1. The noise was mostly in the high frequencies, and since this is vocal only, I took a spectral editor and sliced off everything above 5K.
    2. I then used MSpectralDynamics on the junction (also to De-ess), and MCharacter to remove some of the overtones in the vocal.
    3. Dynamic Compression to tame some of the harshness, and removed much of the spectrum below 200Hz (basically constrained it all to a "telephone call").
    4. Surgically tamed some of the plosives that still caused issues.
I didn't hear back from the OP, and took another try at the DeReverb yesterday but still didn't like it. I then ran the above file through MCharacter again to remove more of the 1st octave from the voice, then ran that through a MB compressor. That file is linked here. I did not PM that one to the OP.

If the OP wants to have those taken down, please let me know.
