A friendly reminder to wash your scissors

When was the last time you washed your scissors? I bet they're filthy by now.

I just washed both of my pairs. Gave them a good scrub.

Right - time to rotate my plants.

I've never used mine because I can't get them out of the packaging without scissors.

A few decades ago I cut halfway through my thumb with a razor blade. Not on purpose. Had a scar there since.
While cutting some wrapping paper this past Christmas, I cut myself again in the same place.
It was a cutting remark.

When I was a kid I made myself a robot costume out of a large cardboard box with holes cut for the arms. As I was taking it off a sharp edge of cardboard cut me the entire length of my forearm, and I've had a scar there ever since. It's kind of embarrassing when I have to explain to someone who notices it and asks how I got it. You're supposed to have a cool story like oh I got it pulling a lion off a baby or something like that. Nope - it was just a plain old cardboard robot

My scissors cut everything including the cheese.
I routinely wash them and put them in the dishwasher too.

These advicenations became extremely prescient just now as I decided to trime my moostash and beard then figured "What the heck, let's get some manscaping out of the way as well before hopping in the shower".

Well I generally wipe my trimming scissors with rubbing alcohol every so often which I think might be beneficial over the next few days...

'cause I nicked my yambag in the process.

If I could find even 1 pair of the 4 or 5 we have in this house, I might give them a wash. They seem to disappear through a hole in the space-time continuum, along with any pens I put by the phone
