Sonar X3 session saved as .1 file

Hello community!

My Sonar X3 runs on Wondows 10. Recently I have the problem that Sonar saves all my sessions as .1 file. I only can open the session after I have chosen the programm cakewalk from the dropdown menu after clicking "open with". Any ideas?

nope. Tried that.

Would you explain, please. What actually happens, when you try to save as .cwp?
Do you even get the chance to select "normal/cwp" when you save the project, or are the options greyed out?
Did you try changing the file extension manually from .1 to cwp?

When i manually change the file name with the .cwp ending it only changes the filename. Filetype stays the same.
Trying to save as "normal" now. Save as cwp isn't an option in the menu.

I am guessing the project was saved with a "." in the name, for example "myproject.1.cwp." Open the .1 file and use the "Save as" function to copy the project to a new name without a . in it. In the future avoid putting "." in a project name. Only use "." to separate the name from the cwp extension. Use "-" or "_" or spaces in a project name instead of "."

Project was actually saved as "projectxy 2.0"
Problem solved. Thank you very much!
