Sonar Home Studio install question

So, I figured might as well get home studio even though I have allmy install files\disks for all sonars thru the years.

But when installing thru CCC I keep getting error mesages with RED title bars saying could not replace file xyz. abort\retry\ignore .

My question: Will this replace newer files with older files? I have x1,2,3 and Plat installed for years.

I don't want to ruin my setup.
Thanks folks

Try closing all your applications before installing.
Otherwise it would be helpful to know what files it's trying to replace (at least some of them).
Any major reason why you would install home studio alongside Platinum?

Have you tried downloading and installing from your products page? That's what I did, and there was no problem. although, I don't have all the recent versions you have, just 8.5 Studio and Producer.

what an idiot I am. I was working in Plat and decided to check CCC. Why install it? Honestly, I guess no good reason, just never have seen a home studio version. But now that I know it wants to replace files...I won't
    Thanks for the reply

I think it's more likely it could not install because Platinum was open?
It will probably be OK as the days of DLL hell are mainly over, but I'd back up first if you decide to try again... I doubt it is much to be alarmed by (but don't quote me!!!!).
Yeah I am like that, bit curious as well. I will probably try it on my other machine though...

    Cheers...

You could try it on another computer. It is an amazing little program. It has to be the best of its type out there.
