Are you talking about Sonar Home Studio 6?  You don't say what you used to run it on, but SHS 6 came out when Vista was the current O.S. -- so yeah, it might be too old for Win 10.

In any case, the current full version of Sonar Home Studio is supposedly available for free, so you might as well try and grab a copy if you can:

Install a 17 year old unsupported OS just to run Sonar? Not the best advice I've ever seen...

Fine, no problems with Sonar Professional on W10 in 2+ years.

People run other software on their PC besides Sonar, and need new hardware which requires new drivers...

+1 for Sonar Home Studio free on Windows 10!!!  Was updated in 2017, and looks just like Platinum and Professional, except WITHOUT the ProChannel features...

That doesn't solve the issue of hardware needing up to date drivers that may or may not be compatible with an ancient OS. Or would you suggest keeping your hardware collection frozen in time as well?

    i don't know,
when i bought my rme babyface,
i didn't even load the drivers, and it works perfectly.

so, yea, for me, no updates needed.
    for 10 years now.
