(Solved)"Tails" After Piece Has Ended

I can usually get rid of those annoying "tails" that appear in the track view, which suggest that an event is still occurring when in fact the piece has ended. I just split them at the end of the piece, then move them to another track and delete them. but I suddenly have two very stubborn ones that are resisting this fix. When I move them at the split, they move, and I can delete them, but the tail remains. I can keep doing this but get the same result. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Weird.
I'm running Sonar 8.5 Studio.

Have you tried slip editing and fading out all the tracks?
Do you have any envelope nodes after the end of the audio tracks?

Have you tried right clicking on the track & select 'apply trimming' after you edit it?

I have not tried slip editing (I don't even know what it is).
I'm doing midi only. Also, I don't use envelopes.
