iZotope updates Ozone, Neutron and RX

iZotope has released updates for several plug-ins.
Ozone v8.01
New Features/Enhancements:
  • Improved Master Assistant EQ results to be less subtle.
  • Improved gain trace drawing in Vintage Limiter module.
  • Improved gain trace drawing in Vintage Compressor module. | Advanced Only.
  • Improved threshold meters in Maximizer to show more accurate, independent L/R channel gain reductions.
  • Added Japanese translations to the Ozone 8 help documentation.
  • Added Japanese translations to the Tonal Balance Control help documentation. | Advanced Only.
  • Added ability to automate band Mode parameters in the Exciter module & component plug-in (Advanced only).
  • Input level meter will display a different color for reference levels when the "Replace input with reference" option is selected.
  • Added support for Nuendo 8 and Reason 10.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed slow session loading when opening sessions that contained several instances of Ozone 8.
  • Fixed issue where Matching EQ processing was not being applied properly during export from the Ozone 8 application.
  • Fixed persistent tooltip box that would appear in some host applications.
  • Fixed Search function in the help documentation.
  • Fixed gain reduction drawing in the threshold meters when working with mono files.
  • Fixed possible crash when closing and re-opening the Ozone interface when certain I/O meter types selected.
  • Fixed overlapping text labels in the Options menu.
  • Fixed latency compensation issue in Tonal Balance Control. | Advanced Only.
  • Fixed installer and help documentation path issues.
  • Fixed issue with signal chain updating in the Ozone application when using the same third-party plug-in in multiple track tabs.
RX v6.10

  • Added Filter Type to Voice De-noise module & plug-in.
  • Added multi-core processing for improved performance in:
    • De-ess module & plug-in. | Standard & Advanced.

    ^^ I logged into the Product Portal and that updated only itself last night (and said everything else was up to date). I had to log into my account and get them all manually (they all have a 31 JAN 2018 build date).

    Portal did not show them this morning 8 AM East Coast USA, but shows updates for Neutron2, Ozone8 and RX6 this evening 5 PM.  Thanks for posting this!

    The product portal and updater haven't worked for years for me. I submitted tickets and did a little troubleshooting with them a couple of years ago but wasn't able to resolve it. I'm in the habit of just checking the website manually at this point.

    If the Product Portal fails you, the downloads section is where I got mine. They show up with a 31 JAN 2018 date, and prompt you for an email address prior to download (same as if it were a trial) even with you logged in. I then had to back out to the download page and repeat for each download. Sort of a PITA, but they installed properly. I also install them individually because of my install paths being customized by product (in the past if I installed a "bundle" it would muck things up on me, not sure if that has been fixed).

    I got most of mine through the portal apart from Insight which I had to download.

    Sonar Platinum - Windows 10 Pro 64bit - AMD FX 8150 processor - 16Gb RAM - 27" Monitor (it's not the size that counts, it's what you do with it)

    So I actually got the product portal to work! They weren't showing up still, but I logged out and logged back in: still no balloon with the number of updates above the Updates header. But when I went back to the update screen the links were there and was able to install all 3.

    Great! I noted that when I started the RX6 update, the process stopped. Just had to run it again. The portal is a bit easier than downloading each program separately.

    Do you just look under downloads? There does not seem to be any links to updates in my account info area.


    Under "My Account", select "Product Downloads" on menu bar on left of the screen. All your registered products should be listed along with link to the latest version. If not, contact support.
