How do I merge input 3&4 to Input 7&8 to record both inputs to one track? Patchpoints?

I'm trying to merge two separate inputs 1&2 and 7&8 together is there a way to do that with maybe using patchpoints or something?

Thanks

Hi. Is there a special reason for that?
I would record to 2 tracks, and route them to either a stereo bus or AUX track.
    All the best.

Send left to one mono bus and right to another and set the outputs to anything.

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

    Thanks guys!

I was trying to merge the keyboard inputs to the drum machine inputs live into one Track volume to control both channels.

I know i could just switch on both input monitor switches and hear both inputs, but I thought Patc points allows the user to merge two separate inputs to be controlled by one Track channel instead of two for live monitoring.

    Thanks for the assistance!

Can't you? I think you can send whatever you like to aux tracks.

Just send both inputs to 1 stereo track.
Sonars tracks are either stereo or mono. Sending both inputs to one track (set up for recording) will do both.
