Tracktion Waveform 9 now available.

I grabbed it yesterday.  Nice update.  These developers are on a roll, it can only get better from here! 
 
I got Waveform 8 when it was released last year.  It is a fun tool to create music with.  Very intuitive, and you only need to go deep if you want to, there is a lot of capability under the hood!
 
The MIDI editing window, MIDI pattern generators, step sequencing with step clips, new mixer view, Melodyne support, were all part of the original Waveform.  But this update adds a global chord track, a multi sampler, track LFO modifiers, custom plugin faceplates with plugin macro parameters, and multi-track presets.

Wonder if they will upgrade the free offer further down the chain - was thinking of installing Tracktion 6 but wondering if it is worth waiting to see if they make T7 free?

No point in holding off on Tracktion T6.  They did not add any earth shattering features to T7.  Each version has the core of the previous version, with some new stuff added.  The Waveform series has added a bunch of new stuff, but under the hood it is still the same, so the tutorials on the older versions still apply, and are generally not covered again in the newer tutorials.
 
T6 has a small footprint, and the installer is <10MB.

I bought the big upgrade two months ago. No discount.  I'll wait.

I upgraded to Waveform 9. Reaper looks cool, but I don't want to invest the time to learn it right now. Whenever Tracktion offers me a lifetime upgrade...I'll look into it.
