V-700c - Reinstall on new machine - can't get Console to show up in Controller/Surface
Need some help...
Have a new Windows 7 machine, Platinum, V-700c and V-700r(two).
Loaded everything, the r's are working fine but when I go to set up my console in preferences it is not showing up as a choice.
Would that be something that used to be in Sonar and is no longer there or should that come from the driver?
1. If no longer there, would I go back to an old version and then bring Platinum back?
2. If its in the driver... I've loaded the driver sets for versions 1, 2.0 and 2.1... to no avail.
Be great if someone could tell me what I'm missing.

have you connected the VS700C via USB? then you need to install the VS700C driver as well ...
if connected via VS700R, make sure the dip switch is in the right place (likewise for use via USB but opposite position)

No, the v700c connects to the master v700r with a dedicated cable. Actually, just after I posted(about 2:00am), I found the set up file for the console. It was mentioned in some of the driver documentation but never with a working link. All good... have breathed new life into my V700 system following an ill-fated attempt at integrating disparate technologies with a early stage DAW. Hopefully over the next 2-3 years one manufacturer can put something together that is as good as Sonar/V-700!

I presume you downloaded the VS-700 control surface plugin (CSP) file from Cakewalk?

is there a firmwear update for the 700c? I just moved some stuff around in the studio and now my console is not working. reinstalled drivers and still nothing. was working fine last week and now it is dead. any ideas of what the hell is going on?
