Step sequencer expert required!

From time to time I revert back to session drummer 3 as I love it, the trouble is....does anyone know how to convert the Steven slate rock compound midi patterns to step sequencer, when I try to load them after converting, the data within the clip disappears, can anyone help, because these are the only 6/8 midi clips I have, thanks in advance, ta

right click on the slate midi clips in the track view and choose "Change to step sequencer clip".

If you mean right click and track view and convert to step sequencer, I'm well aware of this and everytime I do this all the data within the clip disappears, the step sequencer opens but only the first beat comes up on the step sequencer pattern, I'd consider myself to be quite an advanced user of sonar but can't figure a way around this, try it yourself and see if you can see something that I cannot, I've had this problem for a while and it would be fantastic if I could solve it, it's probably one of the only things I can't figure out in sonar, kinda the reason I'm asking for experts, thanks for your input, PS, it only happens in the Jeri Lyons and Steven slate clips the ones which have velocity data visible on the clip, all the rest of the clips including groove monkey seem to have velocity data and other parameters embedded within the sample, I've also searched the web regarding this problem , I presume it is not the first time Steven slate has heard this, but to no avail, I can't find an answer
