Bandlab email in spam box

Just a heads up - Check your email spam box as there is an important email from Bandlab regarding account migration.

Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

Awesome news.

I'm glad they are doing it this way as the message should reach each and every Cakewalk customer. The only ones it won't reach are people who changed their  email and didn't bother to update their Account info. I would imagine those few people are just the ones who bought a product but no longer use it so don't care.

Interesting I also got an Email to a different account ( johnnyV ) which was not my registered account but I did use it to pick up an extra FREE copy of Home Studio.

So let see what the Easter Bunny brings !

I did the same does that mean our cakewalk history is brought over to Bandlab?

TIA

From what the email says, they will match reference by email addresses. So make sure your Bandlab email address is the same as your Cakewalk one. I already had a Bandlab account, but it had a different email address so I had to change it.

Thanks for the heads up.
I just checked my MX Guard Dog and yep, there it is.
I released it and white listed the sender.

All good now.

Good call on starting a topic about this, 35mm. I've recently made a habit of checking my spam as often as my inbox, 'coz a lot of relevant stuff seems to land there all of a sudden, but some folks might miss it and never be the wiser.

I'm not sure you can, to be honest. My impression is that this is an internal bit of data tracked by BandLab, in order to know which of their users were formerly associated with Cakewalk. My profile shows no such information and the only indication I got of it - when setting it up based on the e-mail from BandLab - was that BandLab had pre-filled my display name to match the one I'm using here.

If you got an e-mail that your Cakewalk account has been associated with your BandLab account, you should be all clear. In the event you encounter any problems when the licensing data and such is migrated, you should be able to clear up matters with BandLab's support, based on the information you received.

I haven't gotten any e-mail yet.
Checked my account on cakewalk and Bandlab.
Both were the same e-mail.
I guess I'll wait.

Hi Tjenkins,

Thanks for getting in touch. You've caught us at an exciting time of transition as we welcome Cakewalk into the BandLab family. We are almost ready to share a product announcement. Right now, all you need to do is make a BandLab account. You can do that here. So long as the email addresses on your BandLab and Cakewalk accounts match, you should be all set. If they're different, please log into either account and update the email address so the two match.

When you set up a BandLab account, we can tag your Cakewalk ID to your new account as we migrate databases and wind down the legacy server. Your BandLab account will be what you use to authenticate and activate the new flagship product (aka TDFKAS) and will bring more features and services to your Cakewalk experience in the future. In order to ensure you get the right upgrade or crossgrades in future,  make sure that you sign up for BandLab with the same email you used for your Cakewalk products.

Our CEO, Meng, has been active on this thread in the Cakewalk Forums. You can also keep up with any updates on our Living FAQ doc here.

Thanks for your patience and support during this transition period!

Ashwin
