How to use Addictive Drums 2 mapping into Superior Drummer 3 ?
Hello all ! I just bought Superior Drummer 3 but until now i always used Addictive Drums then Addictive Drums 2. That means ALL my projects drums midi tracks are set for Addictive Drums mapping... I am a bit lost... Have someone figured out a quick and easy way to map Addictive Drums midi tracks into Superior Drummer 3 ? Thanks in advance for your help !

Actually there is many more options in that thread you can do without having to buy EZPlayer Pro. For example, you can edit them in PRV, or use free application like midifilemapper https://github.com/markheath/midifilemapper/releases The latest release includes few templates for converting EZD to AD, etc but not AD2 to SD3. However, you can create yourself some maps easily (just learn the XML structure in notepad, you'll get the idea how the application works). Once you create your customized template for AD2 to SD3, you can use it as you like. The application will import MIDI file and export as MIDI file after conversion, means you have to first export your drum track on your AD2 Sonar projects as MIDI file, then import back after conversion. Hope it helps.

You could also try the transpose MFX in custom mode. Once you have set up a map, just add it to the Midi FX bin for your drum track. You could leave your drum file as is and turn on this FX when using Superior Drummer, and off with AD2. If you want the tracks converted, apply the MIDI FX

I don't understand the issue. Why can't you just use built-in drum-maps?

TheMaartian Remember that you can also download all of your purchased MIDI packs from a hidden XLN webpage. Log into your XLN account. You should be on a page with the following URL: https://www.xlnaudio.com/myaccount-myproducts Add "/offline" to the end, scroll to the bottom of the page, and Bob's your uncle: https://www.xlnaudio.com/...unt-myproducts/offline
Wow! You just blew my mind! I had no idea and I have a bunch of these packs. Trying to figure out how to map to Slate Drums. These will sure help at least give me a consolidated repository of MIDI files from which to start.

Thanks, Mr. TheMaartian . Now I can't wait to take these to the studio and add them into SD3

You're welcome. See Soundwise's post above for mapping AD MIDI files into SD3.

Thanks for these ideas, really helpful. Someday I will move my old AD mixes over to SD3. Seems doable.
