Vocoder advice

wanting to get a vocoder. using the one in Reason on vox is just too cumbersome.

any faves/advice/warnings?

    hi ya tommy
    there is manny vocoders outhere.....

    and dont know what type of sound you are looking to get...
    nowdays are cheap korg mini key sinth vocoder...
    also the... rack vocoder from....mmm dont remmeber those guys names who made
    a flilter also and other rack stuff...like 3 or 4 racks...
    ahhhhhhhh

    VOCODER.....and a lot of stuff show up

    on the PLUG side...
    i like WAVES MORPHER and SOUND SHIFTER and ULTRA PITCH ....
    and AKAI DECABUDDY also ANTARES AUTOTUNE
    and there is more out there

    one of my favs for BATTLE STAR GALACTICA "CYLON" sounds
    its CYLONIX vocoder..... its not a VST or DX plug..its stand alone....

    but man!!! you talk like the 80s series!!! cylons!!!!

    Hardware:

    I like the one in the MicroKorg. There's one in the Digitech GNX3, the "Talker", it's pretty good, but not as controllable. The RedSound Darkstar had a vocoder chip, but I didn't like the sound of that one, plus it was difficult to work with.

    Software:

    I've tried demos of the Orange Vocoder and the Vokator, both are quite nice, and work well with SONAR.
