Shake Me, Wake Me, When It's Over

I swear I will lose it if one more bonehead comes on here and says, Huh? somebody bought Cakewalk? Or, I've been away for some time, can someone please bring me up to speed? Do people not bother to check the news section, ESPECIALLY if they've been away? Do people think someone else's time is not as valuable as their's is, so, instead of Reading And Bringing Themselves Up To Speed, they can have somebody else do it for them? Sheesh. Sorry, just had to vent. Maybe it won't get deleted here. The3 mods have been a bit trigger happy lately.

Users that hang out here regularly are probably the exception. If something was common knowledge via Facebook I would never know about it.

knowledge via Facebook...

I now question your usage and understanding of the word "knowledge".

Coming on and saying "hey guys is it really true about Cakewalk" is the first offense. I mean for Pete's sake you can't move for that info - it's in stickies, it's on the Cakewalk site, it's in articles and blog posts all over the internet. The 2nd offense is when they go on to launch into a "what does this mean for my lifetime updates? I for one feel ripped off and disappointed with Cakewalk after 30 years of loyal blah blah blah...." diatribe, as if we haven't heard that one 60,000 times since last November.

I saw that one. I was going to answer it, but just couldn't. I  just don't think I could be civil.  In fact, I thought it was possibly a troll, it was so bad.

I'm more sad than you though, and more affected, because I've been using Sonar since, well let me tell you my story....

C'mon you guys, don't be so harsh on them. They're only looking for some enlightening conversation/interaction from you. Give them a hug and welcome them aboard.

Ill give them a hug after they have taken a little time to "bring themselves up to speed," and not expect me to do that for them. It was a day or two in when I myself discovered "the news," and I read every post in the announcement, which even then was considerable, as well as everything else I could find here on it. I realize that these posts number in the thousands now, and I don't expect someone to read them all at this point, but it doesn't take long to get the gist of what happened. Ignorance can be very easy to alleviate, it just takes a little effort. People who refuse to make that effort, demanding that others do it for them, annoy me.

I’ve offered help to the Sonar 6 User. It seemed a legit case. BUT I agree it’s getting crazy how many people are so “fill in your own words”,

The level of comprehension displayed by some folks has me asking how on earth they could operate a daw. Hold bite my own arm off and slap myself silly.

Vent here and be civil upstairs.
