On the song, I am hearing overtones of Marc Bolan, possibly even a little Sid.  Am also hearing a little timing error around the 2:00 mark that little drum trip sounds off to me.  Are you using Hats in this because I could not hear them.

Other than that it does not sound bad here, others will correct me probably

It sounds like a good mix to my ears. Nice balance between things imo. You managed to get some sort of Simon & Garfunkel vibe going on those vocals and harmonies which is really nice. I like it!

As for hats Wookiee, I hear hats panned left so they are in there but more prominent in the latter part of the song. :)

Thanks for listening fellas...I think this newer mix is way better than the one before. The hats are there softly. Wouldn't hurt to up them a tad.

I just played it through my old set of M-Audio BX5 speakers and was happy enough. But I have this ASUS laptop and holy smokes, it's a bloodbath listening to it there. Naturally, commercial music sounds rock solid on the ASUS. But for my stuff it swallows up the bass and regurgitates it in a terrible stream on moaning, bloated vomit.

I'm having trouble with vocals because I tend to double track or even triple track them, because a single vocal to me sounds so small. I'll have to ween myself off this practice.

I like it...   It has a happy early 70's vibe to it, very sunshine-y.

Oh, and I liked the use of diminished chords during the outro.  Perfect.

Thanks Steve. I like those chords too :)

I'm going to remix the whole thing though...now that I have 8" Yamahas...they've changed what I can achieve in mixing.
