I'm an unlimited owner (cakewalk Sonar). Does that still mean something? Installed CB. And it has an end date in 2018. I have not seen a Bandlab environment where I can find my purchased instruments. I know migration is not yet complete. I hope my email and user account will be tied together somewhere in the future.

Do not rescan Platinum with bandlab icon showing in windows bottom right corner.  It will trash all your waves plugins.  You must migrate (copy) plugin layouts.  %appdata%  Also you must check and possibly add plugin paths to BLCake.

After this - Good to go.  Engine seems better.  Loaded a song to the crackle level in platinum.  Opened in BLCake no crackles!

Files seen to transfer back and forth - no problems!

"Edited spelling"
New Tag line so I won't have to keep typing this. I may or may not have edited this yet, but I probably need to.

When I noticed that my plugin menus were missing in CbB, I realized at once that I have to copy my plugin menu files *.pgl from "Program Files\Cakewalk\Sonar Platinum\Cakewalk User Data\SONAR Platinum\Plug-in Menu Layouts" to the same subfolder under "Cakewalk Core".

The only "little problem" was when I opened the Plugin Manager in CbB, opened my plugin menu and wanted to save a change, the proposed target path was the one of Splat instead of CbB (and you must click on the save-in-box to see that). But since I changed that and saved in the CbB subfolder there is no problem anymore.
So guys, please check whether the path is correct when saving your menus the first time with CbB!

The menu layout path is set in Preferences > File > Folder Locations. Those who stay current with SONAR have not performed an upgrade in several years. Make sure to review Preferences and update them as needed. Those who have not stayed current with SONAR have not performed an upgrade in years. Did you have Platinum and Cakewalk open at the same time? If so the folder might get confused. If I open the plugin manager from Cakewalk or Platinum independently it always goes to the right folder for me.
Plugin layout files have never been migrated in the past from prior versions. We can consider doing that as part of migration since it seems like a good thing to do.

I cannot remember, I had opened Platinum, but I don't know if it was still open. What I am sure is that the Plugin Manager of Platinum was not open at the same time, but maybe I opened it before?
But as I said above, I had changed the save path to the one of CbB and had saved. Since then the path proposal is correct.

Best regards

I just added migration of plugin layouts so the next CbB update will automatically copy over any layouts if you choose to migrate.

Took all of 5 minutes to get folders and layouts right. Gosh! Of course, some just have to blame someone for the tiniest inconvenience
This is also why I like the Cakewalk Content folder on a seperate drive. I just fixed everything by changing in folders prefs

I also have 3 drives. Big deal. A few minutes of my time............I am just mortified!   NOT

Thanks Noel, I think this is wise to avoid confusion with the plugin menus! But as Rbh said, lean back, it is weekend! Time for a chilled beer (I like Bishops Finger, a Kentish Bitter). You in the development team have accomplished a great step forward in such a short time. Even if the Splat users cannot see much difference, I do understand that behind the scene there was immense work to do for the transformation! Thank you all!

Best regards
