Anyone getting an update box notification?

OK, so since I downloaded the assistant and Cakewalk, a white box showed up on the screen that just said, "An update is available" with options to update, or wait for later. It also had an "x" in the top corner. There was no information as to what it was for. I quickly did a system restore point and then just hit the X button to get a rid of it. I checked the assistant and it said up to date. I wouldn't have posted it here. But it happened again on a second computer that I downloaded and an installed the bandlab stuff. My computers didn't like the assistant and thought it was a virus and I had to circumvent things to install it. Just curious.

I hope that Bandlab will put their name in the update box in the future. It struck me as a possible hack since it didn't say what it was for.

It all worked fine here. Perhaps your systems have a tad too much protection? It can often interfere with day to day running as I often found during my years in the IT business. Best keep it simple.
