Good job! I think many of the available GUIs for Reaper are gorgeous.

You have already hit "R", toggle repeat, I guess you mean "Ctrl+R", record And I am not sure what you want from the interface, compare to your avatar from which it is easy to get headache, any interface is good Finally, I am a noob and so I normally look at the instrument during recording. I can not see the monitor in any case from the position near most instruments I have...

The various user themes are great, but be careful I've encountered one or two that were a bit buggy. One of them did not like my KORG M1 vst at all and would crash the program when removing tracks or closing.

I can't recommend the LCS mod of WT Imperial high enough. Search the stash for LCS - all of his theme mods are top shelf

So far I haven't used any themes. My initial plan was to stick with the default theme for as long as it took me to get up to scratch with the program from videos & the manual, and I didn't want to be confused by differences between what I see on my screen and what I see in tutorials. As it happens though, it turns out that I actually very much like the default theme and have stuck with it.

mister happy Someone told me my Themes look like Fisher Price toys. I took it as a compliment.
BTW that also looks like Live 9.
