piano roll - arrow keys & keyboard questions

I got the Up/Down arrow keys to move a midi note up/down in piano roll by setting keyboard shortcut to nudge.  Is it possible to make the note sound when I move it up/down?

Also, in piano roll the piano keyboard on the left can be clicked to hear notes, but when a song is playing the keyboard does not show which notes are playing.  Is it possible to have the keyboard do that?
thanks

I don't know about the note sounding part,
but I'm sure that the Piano on the left can't be made to show notes playing.

Were you aware that there are already built-in shortcut keys for this? These are 8 & 2 on the numeric keypad.

As far as I know, the only way to audition notes when moving them is by click + dragging them, not when using a keyboard shortcut

didn't know that and I never noticed before that the numeric keys 2,4,6,8 have arrows on them!  my habit is to expect arrow keys to move notes but I see now that num 4 & 6 nudge notes left/right as well, so I will retrain myself to use the num keys, thanks

I just realized that I only ever use the mouse for everything but R , W and Spacebar.
Oh ya, Ctrl A and Ctrl S  I'm a mouse guy I guess. I have the keyboard shortcuts printed and stuck to the wall but never have used them.
