Dxi Plugs (Solved)

Pentagon 1 shows in pluggin manager, but gives an error that it may not be installed properly but only on CbB. Opens as expected in Splat. Any ideas, or does CbB not use DXi's.

No, I'm admin on the computer but not specifically set up as admin on CbB.

Hadta set CbB to run as admin and Pentagon opens every time.

Petagon fails to load because it cannot access HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\rgc:audio software\DXi\Pentagon I. Changing permissions on that key or running SONAR as administrator has been necessary for years..Personally, I prefer not to run programs as administrator. This image shows the mod required using regedit.

Thanks scook! I installed Splat on my son's W10 laptop and couldn't figure that out. Works great now, thank you!

I'm curious. Is there a reason to be careful about running programs as administrator?

 
I've understood it  so, that when you're running as an administrator many kinds of malware have a much easier access to the insides of the system. It's like an open door, the malware doesn't need to be a sophisticated one to use it. This is what I read many years ago, I don't know if things have changed in this respect.
