Access Violation errors

Any experts on troubleshooting access violation errors? This has been driving me slowly crazy for a few months now and is happening on both Sonar Pro and also the new Bandlab Cakewalk.

I don't get it every time but most commonly if I save a project and then quit Sonar I often get an access violation error (0xc0000005). If that was the only time it happened I could live with it but a few times it's also just happened randomly when I'm working in the middle of a project out of nowhere. I've saved the minidump files each time and when I use osronline.com to analyze the .dmp files they all seem pretty similar to this example:

************************************
FAULTING_IP:
KERNELBASE!RaiseException+68
00007ff9`4c1e4008 488b8c24c0000000 mov rcx,qword ptr [rsp+0C0h]

EXCEPTION_RECORD: ffffffffffffffff -- (.exr 0xffffffffffffffff)
ExceptionAddress: 00007ff94c1e4008 (KERNELBASE!RaiseException+0x0000000000000068)
ExceptionCode: 40000015
ExceptionFlags: 00000001
NumberParameters: 1
Parameter[0]: 00007ff90b7fe190

DEFAULT_BUCKET_ID: STATUS_FATAL_APP_EXIT

PROCESS_NAME: Cakewalk.exe

OVERLAPPED_MODULE: Address regions for 'WMVCORE' and 'MelodyneReWireDevice.dll' overlap

ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0x40000015 - {Fatal Application Exit} %hs

EXCEPTION_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0x40000015 (1073741845) - {Fatal Application Exit} %hs

EXCEPTION_PARAMETER1: 00007ff90b7fe190
******************************************

I'm no coding expert but I guess it points to a clash between WMVCORE and MelodyneReWireDevice.dll so I did some searching and WMVCORE seems to be related to Windows Media Player. I removed that from my system but still get the errors referring to it. I also tried reinstalling Melodyne but again no good.

I've run memtest multiple times to check my RAM and that all seems fine. I've gone through checking/updating video drivers and everything else I can find but it keeps happening.

I guess it must be specific to my system as I can't see many other people with this problem. Any other ideas what to try? I can provide the full dmp files if they'll give any answers?

That is not normal. I suggest you run an antivirus scan and a malware scan.

Thanks for the suggestion, done that already though as well as everything else obvious I can think of. Avast is running permanently and I've double checked with Malwarebytes.

It's a fairly clean Win 10 install with not much on it apart from my main audio apps and a couple of image/video apps (GIMP/Vegas and a few others). I certainly steer clear of dodgy sites and unknown sources.
