Neve 1073 DPD to Babyfacepro? Converters

hello,

i already connected my 1073 mic preamps to my babyface pro input 3 but i also want to use the converters of the dpd version...
i heard that it can be difficult to connect the dpd to babyface pro, is that true?

how do i connect the dpd converters to my babyface pro?
do i need to connect "AES SYNC" to my babyface pro SPDIF? with the following cable XLR to SPDIF?

or how do i do that?

The 1073 has digital outs, AES format.  The Babyface has an optical in (either stereo or ADAT).  NOthing I read sez that the babyface will except an AES signal.

Lynx carries (cheap) digital cables, XLR to RCA (AES to Spdif) which might work if the Babyface will except the AES signal over the Spdif.  Nothing sez it will, but you could dig into the manual.  My TASCAM is designed to work both formats but says so.

Note that Babyface has optical digital connector only. No coaxial SPDIF. So you will need ADI-X DD or alike device for the connection.
