I cannot change the Buffer Size or the Buffers in Playback Queue

I'm using he internal sound card that came with my desk top. First I have only one option for Playback timing Master and no option for Record Master. Second my buffer size is set to "Fast" and no matter what I do it will not save to any other position, so when I load a few virtual instruments or two instances of Kontakt I get pops and clicks. Do I need to get a usb 3.0 audio interface and stop using the internal sound card  and will that solve my issue with adjusting the Buffer?

Try a different record mode. You could also try ASIO4All. As a rule an audio interface designed for DAW use is a better solution but the internal sound chip does work when properly configured.

you are awesome!!!, Thanks, I  don't know why I did not think of that in the first place, solved the issue with the buffers. So, I'm in the market for a audio interface what works best with Sonar Platinum. I really only need two inputs as the most i'll record is a guitar or lead vocal.
