Years ago I had a song with everything just the way I wanted it. Once I was done, I saved the song. Then, I deleted all the audio clips. I left the tracks in place, but just deleted all audio and midi associated with the song. I left everything else in place, plugins, BFD3, PRV, console view, everything. Then I saved that as a project and called it "template". Now, every time I start a new song, I just open the template, and everything is ready for me to get right into recording. I hope that helps.

This is due either to a locked Screenset or a Lens

I see now. It seems like every once in a while I have that problem. I'm not sure how to fix it. I would send a PM to scook. He knows a LOT about Sonar. I'm sure he could give you an answer.

    I'll have to try this.
On projects with say, 20 tracks I set the channels to "Narrow" while mixing so I can see them all.
When I open the project again it's all gone.
I've save this view as my default lens ( Advanced) but it makes no difference. So I will try the locking after I set a project.
