The Fun Room - new song

I think I've made some advances in mixing with this one. I made a point to think about the arrangement at the recording stage and made sure to track with one eye very much on the end result...which is something I haven't done before.

How does it sound?

thanks

Nice song Monty. Well done my man. The only thing I would change would be to take some of the sizzle off the cymbals. Other than that you're sitting pretty. Well, sitting anyway. I don't really know how pretty you are.

Sounds terrific, good song and well mixed.   Vocals remind me of Al Stewart a little bit...     Catchy and memorable.

Thanks for listening...a couple of tweaks and that's it...including the cymbals but also the snare...to take some unneeded low end thwump out of the brush samples

Yeah, the mix sounds pretty good here!    Cool song.  I really liked that you used brushes, that gave it a extra something different.   Nice job on the vocals too and overall t has a nice retro vibe... even without the tremolo.

What's the advantage of tracking with one eye?
