Forum Host (Software) Complaint

There seems to be a bug in the software that this forum uses.  Today, I spent a half hour typing a post.  It even published.  Then upon proof reading it I saw a spelling mistake.  I went to edit it and the entire post vanished!  Just thought admin should know.  To all users in general, be careful how you edit.

It's the Akismet spam detection algorithm playing up again. It does that sometimes. It may be that your deleted post is in a queue waiting for a forum host to check it and approve it. Here's looking forward to the new BL forum!

This has been known for a very long time. I’m actually surprised you haven’t heard of it. But as this forum is at the end of its line - don’t expect BandLab to fix it. So here’s a top tip: write in Word (or your word processor of choice), then paste the finished text into the forum. And don’t close the source document until you’re definitely done editing.

I have experienced it a couple of times as well, seem like a bad idea to try to correct spelling mistakes immediately after posting. I have the impression it goes better if you revisit and edit the post at some later time.

yep I have experienced it also.  so before I start editing I copy and paste my post to notepad for safety.

I restored all the deleted posts from the Take Lanes thread that were sent to the recycle bin.
